The item is in good condition, but it has light wear on the gold paint. The stand is intended to hold stacks of plates and/or bowls for a buffet table. The number of items the stand will hold will depend on the thickness and diameter of your dinnerware. One of our photos has 10 dinner plates and 8" salad plates. Another photo has 10 dinner plates and 4 cereal bowls. The stand is made of gold painted metal. The stand has three legs for support. Look at the photos for details.
